3.7.2 Functional Specifications

• Accessing the Bot Profile Module:
  • Description: Users can access the Bot Profile module through the following pathway:
  • Navigation Path: Click on Bot Space -> Bot Profile from the sidebar menu.
• Updating Bot Profile Details:
  • Description: Within the Bot Profile module, users can update the bot’s profile picture, prompt, and nickname.
  • Functionalities:
    • Bot Profile Picture:
      • Options:
        • Upload Image: Users can upload a custom image to serve as the bot’s profile picture.
        • Select Predefined Avatar: Users can choose from a set of predefined bot avatars available within the system.
      • Business Rules & Validations:
        • Required Field: Bot profile picture selection is mandatory.
        • File Validation:
          • Valid Image File: Only image files (e.g., .jpg, .png, .gif) are allowed.
          • Size Restriction: Uploaded images must not exceed 2 MB in size.
      • Error Handling:
        • If an invalid file type or size is uploaded, an error message is displayed prompting the user to choose a valid image.
    • Bot Prompt:
      • Description: Users can update the bot’s prompt, which defines how the bot behaves and interacts during conversations.
      • Business Rules & Validations:
        • Required Field: Bot prompt is mandatory.
        • Content Guidelines: The prompt should clearly outline the bot’s behavior, tone, and interaction style.
      • Error Handling:
        • If the prompt is missing or does not meet content guidelines, an error message is displayed prompting the user to provide a valid prompt.
    • Bot Nickname:
      • Description: Users can assign or update the bot’s nickname, which is displayed on webchat and mobile applications.
      • Business Rules & Validations:
        • Required Field: Bot nickname is mandatory.
        • Uniqueness: Bot nicknames must be unique to avoid confusion.
        • Format: Nicknames should be concise and reflect the bot’s purpose or brand.
      • Error Handling:
        • If the nickname is missing or duplicates an existing nickname, an error message is displayed prompting the user to choose a different nickname.
• Visibility of Bot Profile:
  • Description: The updated bot profile is visible across various platforms to ensure consistency.
  • Platforms:
    • Webchat: The bot’s profile picture and nickname are displayed within the webchat interface.
    • Mobile App: The bot’s profile picture serves as the bot widget icon, and the nickname is displayed alongside it.
• Mandatory Fields:
  • Description: All fields within the Bot Profile module are required to ensure a complete and consistent profile.
