3.5.5 Business Rules and Validations

• Unique FAQ Questions:
  • Rule: Each FAQ question must be unique within the system to prevent redundancy.
  • Validation: The system checks for existing questions before allowing the creation of a new FAQ.
  • Error Handling: If a duplicate question is detected, an error message is displayed prompting the user to choose a different question.
• Mandatory Bot Responses:
  • Rule: At least one bot response is required for each FAQ to ensure that the bot can provide an appropriate answer.
  • Validation: The system enforces the addition of at least one bot response during FAQ creation.
  • Error Handling: If no bot response is provided, an error message is displayed indicating the requirement.
• Attachment Validation:
  • Rule: Attachments must be valid files, free from corruption, and not exceed 2 MB in size.
  • Validation: The system performs MIME type checks and size validations on uploaded attachments.
  • Error Handling: Invalid attachments are rejected with appropriate error messages detailing the issue.
• Response Type Specifications:
  • Rule: Bot responses must adhere to the selected response type’s specifications (e.g., buttons must have labels and messages).
  • Validation: The system validates the configuration of each response type during FAQ creation.
  • Error Handling: If a response type is improperly configured, an error message is displayed prompting the user to correct the setup.
