3.16.5 Business Rules and Validations

• Status Definitions:
  • Active:
    • Rule: Only one bot version can be in the Active status at any given time.
    • Validation: When a new version is set to Active, automatically set the previous Active version to Inactive.
    • Error Handling: Prevent multiple versions from being Active simultaneously by enforcing this rule within the system logic.
  • Pending:
    • Rule: Represents bot versions that have been created but have not yet initiated the training process.
    • Validation: Ensure that a Pending version automatically transitions to In Progress once training starts.
    • Error Handling: If a Pending version does not transition to In Progress within a reasonable timeframe, display a system alert for manual intervention.
  • In Progress:
    • Rule: Indicates that the bot training process is actively running for the respective version.
    • Validation: The system should accurately track the training progress and update the status accordingly.
    • Error Handling: If the training process encounters issues, transition the status to Failed and log the reason.
  • Failed:
    • Rule: Denotes that the bot training process has encountered errors and did not complete successfully.
    • Validation: Ensure that all failures are logged with detailed reasons to facilitate troubleshooting.
    • Error Handling: Display the Failed Reason prominently and restrict actions that depend on successful training until issues are resolved.
